Together with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), RW Digital is pleased to announce the creation of the RW Digital Scholarship for the School of Health Sciences Nursing Program. The scholarship seeks to support Nursing students as they begin their career path in the health care industry.

“Nurses play an essential role in our community – not only as health care professionals, but as caregivers, providers, researchers, educators and more. They provide care and compassion to patients and patients’ families. It is a broad role and a tough job; nurses work hard for long hours, dedicated to our well-being,” says Ray Wang, principal at RW Digital. “The RW Digital Scholarship is a way to show our appreciation for the profession; it allows us to support future nurses at the beginning of their journey.”

The RW Digital Scholarship reflects the digital marketing agency’s commitment to the local community and its members. In the past, the agency has participated in projects and initiatives that support education, including mentorship programs at the Immigrant Services Society of BC and with international students at BCIT and Simon Fraser University. With this contribution, RW Digital hopes to continue to uplift those who make our society stronger.

A community-minded entrepreneur, Ray says that “there are so many ways we can support our community – not only from one’s own industry, but also taking into account the many roles that allow us to thrive as a whole. I think that nurses are definitely pillars of our society, and will continue to be. This is why I believe it’s important to support this profession right from the start.”

The scholarship is open to all students in the Bachelor of Nursing Program within BCIT’s School of Health Sciences, and will be awarded to the top student in the first year of their credential program.
